Second time here - everything is just as you want it to be. Bustling dining area, great service and attention from the servers, broad menu choices for any appetite, and great tasting food of big portions. Husband loves the corned beef hash - would love a big bowl of it I'm sure lol. The homestyle potatoes are a great side choice, as well seasoned and plenty of them. The shrimp and grits were lovely - they are plain grits but the additional bacon and cheese gives them a boost in flavor. The shrimp are huge. Good choice for a breakfast spot - will hope to return for brunch/lunch or even the Friday fish hours for more delights.
Best breakfast around! Everything came out delicious, the bacon is amazing, pancakes, light and fluffy, tasty, fork tender home fries and crispy outside, soft not soggy or greasy inside hash browns. So impressed by them, they were so busy that patrons were parking on the grass, but still, they didn’t let the rush affect the quality of their meals. Will be back for lunch!
We went for the all you can eat fish fry on Friday. It was amazing. The fish was very light and breaded to perfection. The french fries were also very tasty if you’re looking for somewhere to go on a Friday night in Lake Wales, you can’t go wrong with fish fry Fridays
My food was so good, and hot. I had leftovers and ate them the next day. The service was friendly. The ladies at the counter were very nice. I will be visiting again.
Breakfast was great. Service was quick. Staff is friendly. Prices are affordable. Clean restrooms. Clean dining room. Smells amazing. Location is difficult to access and exit, but well worth the visit. Located on the south side of the st rd 60 overpass, on the east side of 27.......SOUTH EAST corner of 27 & 60.
This is a great little diner. We enjoyed breakfast previously and wanted to go back to try their lunch. The service is always very friendly, efficient and prompt. The food is delicious. Hubby had their burger melt and said it was one of the best he'd ever had. I had the catfish fingers which were huge; more like fillets. Highly recommend for a good, quick bite to eat that is also very affordably priced. They usually only do breakfast and lunch, but they also now offer an all you can eat fish fry on Friday night.
What a great find. The portions are large, but the prices are not. Everything tasted great. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The access off of Hwy 27 is a bit awkward, but well worth the effort.
The food was amazing. The Loaded Biscuit had a full breast of chicken. The sausage gravy was out of this world. The Biscuits are great too. Jennifer was an amazing server. Really enjoyed our conversation. The atmosphere gets a 4 star just because it could be a little more BIG friendly. The booth are great for skinny people, but not normal size people. Overall 5 star experience.
